The Adamle Experience: The Voice of ECW
Sure, he’s goofy. But, Mike Adamle is Sports Entertainment. He may not understand the WWE product, but who can blame the guy. Which one of us can truly say that we understand anything the WWE has done in recent memory. Certainly not I.
As Joey Styles‘ replacement on ECW, Adamle was met with harsh critics; citing that the new voice of ECW was inexperienced and uninformed with the current product. And, apparently, he is being primed as Jim Ross‘ successor on Raw. Therefore, Adamle is not going away. That is why I think we should embrace the Mike Adamle Experience. This guy is so awesome that he is even being written into their storylines and given even more airtime on Raw and ECW. We definitely deserve more Mike Adamle in our lives.
I applaud you, WWE. You have my support!

Unless you don’t have a life, its highly likely that you missed ECW this week, but boy did you pick the wrong week to miss Velocity ECW. You see, Vince McMahon was tired of Joey Styles so he decided to “promote” him to an internet only position and replace him with everybody’s favorite new hire: Mike Adamle. Adamle has been a source of much joy here at DoubleAxHandle, kind of like a car wreck…you just can’t look away. I can sit here and discect everything that was wrong with Adamle’s performance, but I think Jason Powell did a solid job explaining it:
Just imagine what the reaction would be if CBS or FOX hired a play-by-play man who had no football knowledge. Can you imagine how the mainstream sports media would be all over the network if they used a commentator who didn’t now the names of the players, mispronounced the name of the league, and didn’t know an out pattern from a fly pattern?
That’s exactly what WWE did with Mike Adamle. He didn’t know the names of the wrestlers, let alone the basic moves or holds they were using, and he mispronounced the name of the company. I can live with the last one because the show was recorded live to tape and people do make mistakes, but his total lack of knowledge regarding the names of the wrestlers and the moves they were performing is inexcusable.
Then again, what does he know…he’s just an internet reporter.

What happens when you mash up an ice-skating blooper with Joey Styles commentary. This:
OH MY GOD!
